An invaluable contribution to esoteric scholarship, this classic text comprises an exact and complete transcription of a rare 17th century volume on Angel Magic. With editor Adam McLean's concise and illuminating observations, A Treatise on Angel Magic constitutes one of the most important links between John Dee and the late 19th century schools of occult-The Golden Dawn, Aurum Solis, and the O.T.O founded by Aleister Crowley. McLean distinguishes this edition from many other books in this field in that he does not present merely one viewpoint on western esoterica and the study of Angel Magic but encompasses all of the important thinking on these topics present in medieval times and those of the Renaissance. Rich with charts and explanatory diagrams, A Treatise on Angel Magic is a primary source work in hermetics. This volume is a great bringing together of several seminal texts not available anywhere else. McLean transcribes and preserves in its entirety one of the most important occult manuscripts in the British Library, Harley 6482, which includes wondrous sections of the Schemhamphoras, the hierarchies of fallen angels, rapturous Images of the Mansions of the Moon, evocation of the Nature Spirits, and John Dee's Enochian system of Angel conjuration. This volume concludes with Dr. Rudd's Treatise on the Nine Hierarchies of Angels and their conjuration to visible appearance. This book is an outstandingly complete source work on Angel Magic, and the correspondence and symbolism essential to the practice of angelology. Book jacket.

More than a century has passed since Liliath crept into the empty sarcophagus of Saint Marguerite, fleeing the Fall of Ystara. But she emerges from her magical sleep still beautiful, looking no more than nineteen, and once again renews her single-minded quest to be united with her lover, Palleniel, the archangel of Ystara. A seemingly impossible quest, but Liliath is one of the greatest practitioners of angelic magic to have ever lived, a genius at making icons to summon angels, and supremely adept in forcing them to do her bidding. Liliath already knew that most of the inhabitants of Ystara died from the Ash Blood plague or were transformed into beastlings, and she herself led the survivors who fled into neighbouring Sarance. Now she learns that angels shun the Ystaran's descendents. If they are touched by angelic magic, their blood will become ashes, or they will turn into beastlings. They are known as Refusers, and can only live the most lowly lives. But Liliath cares nothing for the descendants of her people, save how they can serve her. It is four young Sarancians who fix her interest, for they are the key to her quest: Simeon, a studious doctor-in-training; Henri, a dedicated fortune hunter; Agnez, an adventurous musketeer cadet; and Dorotea, an icon-maker and scholar of angelic magic. The four feel a strange, immediate kinship from the moment they meet, but do not know why, or suspect their importance. Only Liliath knows their secret, and she draws them in to her complex plot, just as she manipulates Queen Louisa and her musketeers; King Ferdinand and his guards; Cardinal Duplessis and her pursuivants; and the Refuser Night King Biscaray and his criminal gangs. All become pawns in Liliath's grand scheme to fulfill her destiny and be united with the love of her life. No matter the cost to everyone else.

A lot can change in six years. The last time Dylan Scott was in Brogan’s Point, he was a nobody. Now he’s rich and famous. But he still has memories of the charming seaside New England town where he’d spent one unforgetable night with Gwen Parker, a local shop clerk who’d wanted nothing more than a no-strings-attached fling. Six years later, she’s still in town—only now she owns the shop. She’s practically engaged to be married. And she’s got a five-year-old daughter who looks an awful lot like Dylan. One thing hasn’t changed in Brogan’s Point: the antique jukebox in the Faulk Street Tavern. It still plays oldies, and those oldies can still cast spells over the tavern’s patrons. When the jukebox plays “Angel of the Morning,” a plaintive ballad about love without commitment, Dylan and Gwen realize that walking away from what they’d once had might have been the biggest mistake of their lives. Now, six years later, is it too late to make things right?

Some magicians say it is the most powerful magical system ever. The Golden Dawn used it. Aleister Crowley used it. A growing number of magicians use it. And now, you can use it too thanks to Donald Tyson and his book, Enochian Magic for Beginners. Revealed to John Dee and Edward Kelley over 400 years ago, much of this system has been ignored or misunderstood, even by famous magicians. Some of the source material has been fragmented, obscure, or unavailable. Thankfully, Mr. Tyson has worked long and hard to rediscover what was missing and piece together what had been changed. Make no mistake—this is not a superficial treatment of Enochian magic. Yes, it is written for beginners, but it is also a vital and important resource for those who are currently practicing the Enochian system. Most people today follow the Golden Dawn's method of Enochian magic. But did you know that they left out a major portion of the system? It's true! They did not include the Heptarchia Mystica, a manuscript discovered amongst John Dee's belongings. In Enochian Magic for Beginners, you will learn the secrets of the Heptarchia Mystica, including such things as the Angelic seven rulers, the preparations for practice of the system, and how to perform the ritual of the system. But the Golden Dawn Enochian system is also quite powerful, and you will learn all of the inner secrets of this system so you can practice it on your own. Also included are two new designs for Enochian typefaces, Donald Tyson's reconstruction of the Enochian Book of Spirits, and much more. If you have found that your magic has not been as successful as you would like, this is the book you need to start a new page in your magical career. If you want to learn about the Enochian system, this book is the best introduction to it to date. And if you are already practicing Enochian magic, you will find this book to be a valuable resource.

This will be the first in a series of books of short fictional stories, about events the author has witnessed, or lived through. Sometime hair-raising, sometime funny, but always entertaining, they are a compilation of adventures. Ranging from stories of growing up in Pennsylvania, to repossessing cars in Texas, to running the open road in big rigs, the author recounts the things he's seen over his past fifty-three years. As you'll see in The Mustang, the author is interested in saving Wild Mustangs. The proceeds of these books will be used for that purpose.

In early modern England, the practice of ritual or ceremonial magic - the attempted communication with angels and demons - both reinforced and subverted existing concepts of gender. The majority of male magicians acted from a position of control and command commensurate with their social position in a patriarchal society; other men, however, used the notion of magic to subvert gender ideals while still aiming to attain hegemony. Whilst women who claimed to perform magic were usually more submissive in their attempted dealings with the spirit world, some female practitioners employed magic to undermine the patriarchal culture and further their own agenda. Frances Timbers studies the practice of ritual magic in the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries focusing especially on gender and sexual perspectives. Using the examples of well-known individuals who set themselves up as magicians (including John Dee, Simon Forman and William Lilly), as well as unpublished diaries and journals, literature and legal records, this book provides a unique analysis of early modern ceremonial magic from a gender perspective.
