Gregory P. LaMonaca, founder of LaMonaca Law, a full service Family law firm on the Main Line, in Suburban Philadelphia, created the Brutally Honest system. The system—first introduced in The Brutally Honest Life Management Journal and followed up with The Pennsylvania Divorce, Custody & Financial Survival Guide—confronts the considerable differences between family law matters and other areas of the law. Unlike other standard consultations, Brutally Honest consultations help clients confront their emotions, fears, addictions, and conditions they may have bottled up for some time. The system fosters trust and respect—and the results are transformative. In this latest installment to the Brutally Honest library, LaMonaca sets his sights beyond family law clients to share a vision for how we all can create better versions of ourselves. Drawing on lessons from his own life, he shares how to thrive in a fast paced, complex world, sharing tips on everything from family & friends, health & fitness, finances & investing, business & career, personal growth, emotional intelligence and raising financially literate children. Get a roadmap to success to provide yourself and family with a compelling future with A Brutally Honest Guide to Sur-Thriving Generation Now.

Congratulations! If you're a connoisseur of fast food, consider this to be your fast food yearbook, allowing you to look back at many of the salty, fatty, and/or sugary menu items you may have passed through your digestive system, but in a non-artery clogging and non-blood pressure raising way...unless you're eating fast food while reading this. There are dozens of reviews in this book, mostly from fast food behemoths, like McDonald's, Subway, and Taco Bell, but there are also reviews from medium-sized fast food chains, like Jack in the Box and Dunkin' Donuts, and from smaller chains, like Carl's Jr. and Whataburger. Most of the products reviewed can still be found on fast food menu boards, or in the McDonald's McRib's case it comes back every so often for a limited time, but some are buried in the discontinued fast food graveyard, never to be consumed again. These fast food reviews were originally posted on our blog, The Impulsive Buy (theimpulsivebuy.com), which is one of the internet's premier websites for junk and fast food reviews. Actually, we're not 100 percent sure the last part of the previous sentence is true, but our cumulative blood pressure and cholesterol levels make us feel like we are.

Some important questions never get asked: What do you have in common with Arnold Schwarzenegger, Javier Bardem, and the octopus? What's the best thing about vegans? Do parents have favourites? How do you stop a wolf fight? And why do some people prefer longer colonoscopies? The answers, believe it or not, will make you a better public speaker - whether you've been too afraid to talk in front of an audience, or have been doing it for years. Through storytelling, humour, and proven rhetorical techniques, award-winning speaker Francisco Mahfuz will teach you where ideas come from, and how to find more of them. Seven steps to build your speech, and the WTF approach to start it. The (old and new) science of storytelling. How to practice like Bill Murray, and to avoid the speaker's Kryptonite. The only explanation of humour you'll ever need (or want). Finally, how brutal honesty will improve your speaking - and your life. You'll learn, you'll laugh, you might cry - but after reading this book, your public speaking will never be the same.

Nathan Mullins deployed to Afghanistan as a Special Forces Commando. Spearheading Australia's Special Operations troops, he and other Australians like him sought the Taliban in the valleys and hills of Uruzgan through Afghanistan's harsh winter while at the same time attempting to bring a human face to the villagers caught in the middle of the fighting. They lived with the daily threat of roadside bombs, ambush and firefights, where survival meant learning to read the signs to determine friend from foe. And they did what they could to relieve the awful effects of war on the men, women and children of the civilian population caught in the crossfire. But these were not your regular soldiers. Sure, they had trained for years for the role but these were citizen soldiers, reservists who had put aside their usual jobs as salesmen, farmers, scientists, lawyers and students to fight Australia's 'war on terror'. Keep Your Head Down is a brutally honest, first-hand account that takes you into the centre of the action and asks some tough questions. What is Australia doing in Afghanistan? What would winning that war look like? What makes a man leave his family to go to war when he doesn't have to? Can there be such a thing as a just war? Nathan Mullins isn't a typical Special Forces soldier. In his day job he is the International Program Manager for Australian Aid International, a humanitarian organisation that responds to disasters and emergencies around the globe.
