" ""One of the meditations from Catch Your Breath cited in Oprah Magazine"" Whether you have chosen to be a caregiver or were hijacked by circumstances, Catch Your Breath, a series of touching meditations by Linda Spalla, will become a wisp of sanity and a day-to-day stabilizer. Spalla retraces an eight month care-giving journey with her mother, captured in raw, candid images, truly becoming a walk in her shoes. What started as a thirty-days-to-live commitment of care in her home turned into an unexpected eight months of never-ending responsibility. You will feel a kinship with the roller coaster of emotions; from anger, confusion, surprise, resentment, guilt and ambivalence, to finally relief, recovery and celebration. You will learn through the various vignettes some refreshingly practical information on such topics as finding sitters, managing medicine, dealing with sibling rivalry, contracting with Hospice, moving to assisted living, doing will preparation and other legalities as well as funeral planning. You will laugh; you will sob; your heart will soar; your heart will break. You will find solace, encouragement and inspiration for one of life s most daunting challenges. But especially, you will discover your best self, emerging stalwart, strong and forged by the fire of your caregiving experience. Give yourself a gift of renewal and Catch Your Breath.""

Rock My World As a former Marine-turned-Hollywood director, Cole Ryder's faced many challenges, but none like this. To research his latest film, he's spending three full days (and nights) in a lush, tropical paradise with sensual survival expert Ariel Leigh, and--according to her protective, wealthy uncle--Cole is not to seduce her, romance her, or in any way touch her. . .not even when she oh-so-casually removes her shirt to show him how it can be used to trap fish. . .not even when she oh-so-uninhibitedly bathes under a waterfall. . .not even when her unexpected kisses and playful pillow talk just beg him to take her in his arms under a canopy of stars. For paradise, t his is starting to feel a lot like torture. . . Ariel knows her doting uncle only wants her to have a real man who's worthy of her, right down to his tender, faithful heart. Until Cole, Ariel was pretty sure such a guy didn't exist. But there's no denying what she sees in Cole's gaze whenever she's near, and why she's determined to give him one last test to see if he's the one. Oh baby, bring it on. 'Cause this former Marine isn't about to let Ariel leave his heart or his life. He's out to prove that he is the man to take her breath away. . .now and for the rest of their seriously sexy lives. . . Tina Donahue is a multi-published novelist in contemporary and historical romance. She was the editor of an award-winning Midwestern newspaper, worked in Story Direction for a Hollywood production company, served as public relations director for a California literary agency, and is currently the Managing Editor for a global business document concern. An extraordinarily beautiful Amish woman, a dangerous femme fatale, is the central figure in a story that reveals a dark side of Painters Mill and its seemingly perfect Amish world A rainy night, an Amish father returning home with his three children, a speeding car hurtling toward them out of nowhere. What at first seems like a tragic, but routine car accident suddenly takes on a more sinister cast as evidence emerges that nothing about the crash is accidental. But who would want to kill an Amish deacon and two of his children? He leaves behind a grieving widow and a young boy who clings to life in the intensive care wing of a hospital, unable to communicate. He may be the only one who knows what happened that night. Desperate to find out who killed her best friend's husband and why, Kate begins to suspect she is not looking for a reckless drunk, but instead is on the trail of a cold blooded killer amid the residents of Painter's Mill. It is a search that takes her on a chilling journey into the darkest reaches of the human heart and makes her question everything she has ever believed about the Amish culture into which she was born.

Chapters also discuss leading components of a patient's recovery, from dietary requirements and exercise, to fall prevention, quality of life and independence issues. The authors highlight disease prevention strategies and various models of community outreach that have proven effective in educating target populations about osteoporosis, encouraging proper lifestyle choices, and helping children to achieve their maximum bone potential at a young age. Legal Friction: Law, Narrative, and Identity Politics in Biblical Israel tracks the mystery of narratives in the Hebrew Bible and their allusions to Sinai laws by highlighting intertextual allusions created by verbal resonances. While the second and the third parts of the volume illustrate allusions to Sinai narratives made by some narratives occurring in the post-Sinaitic era, twenty-three Genesis narratives are analyzed to show that the protagonists were bound by Sinai Laws before God supposedly gave them to Moses, anticipating the Book of Jubilees. Legal Friction suggests that most of Genesis was composed during or after the Babylonian exile, after the codification of most Sinai laws, which Genesis protagonists consistently violate. The fact that they are not punished for these violations implies to the exiles that the Sinai Covenant was unconditional. In addition, the author proposes that Genesis contains a hidden polemic, encouraging the Judean exiles to follow the revisions of laws of the Covenant Code by the Holiness Code and Deuteronomy. Genesis narratives, like those describing post-Sinai events, often cannot be understood properly without recognition of their allusions to biblical laws.
