Synopsis: Haunted by his past, Mike is heading home after many years adrift. Upon arriving he encounters a strange girl at his childhood home who seems to know things about him. With Halloween and the Day of the Dead Festival as a backdrop, he embarks on a dream journey through buried memories about his mother’s death and a violence that changed the townspeople who, like him, are struggling to feel repressed emotional pain so they can start living again. Set in the Inland Empire, a vast area bordering Los Angeles and the desert, riddled with California history and miscreants of variable charm, the play explores how the places from our past are time machines, and that people can still connect even if they are in pain. There's an unpleasant surprise waiting outside Wyoming college professor Sally Alder's office on a cold blustery afternoon: a female student, Charlie Preston, recently and brutally battered. Since Charlie refuses to call the cops, tell her family, or see a doctor, Sally has no other recourse but to give the damaged girl the coat off her back, the cash in her wallet, and to wish her good luck. But two weeks after Charlie vanishes, the body of her estranged father is found, beaten to death in an alley. Now Sally is racing to find the missing girl before the police do, since she's far less convinced of Charlie's guilt than they are. And a killer may be hiding in a maze of lethal secrets and dark passions, preparing to inflict a terrible punishment on a frightened young woman . . . and perhaps on her overly inquisitive teacher as well.

Poetry. "To begin at a margin and make oneself at home there has been Robert Dana's central method all along, as this fine collection of beach poems amply demonstrates. We're not born knowing how to love the world; we're born squalling. HELLO, STRANGER reminds us how much we can teach ourselves by strict attention and imagination" -William Matthews.

From “America’s best novelist” (The Denver Post): A sprawling thriller drenched with atmosphere and intrigue that takes a young boy from a chance encounter with Bonnie and Clyde to the trenches of World War II and the oil fields along the Texas-Louisiana coast. It is 1934 and the Depression is bearing down when sixteen-year-old Weldon Avery Holland happens upon infamous criminals Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow after one of their notorious armed robberies. A confrontation with the outlaws ends as Weldon puts a bullet through the rear window of Clyde’s stolen automobile. Ten years later, Second Lieutenant Weldon Holland and his sergeant, Hershel Pine, escape certain death in the Battle of the Bulge and encounter a beautiful young woman named Rosita Lowenstein hiding in a deserted extermination camp. Eventually, Weldon and Rosita fall in love and marry and, with Hershel, return to Texas to seek their fortunes. There, they enter the domain of jackals known as the oil business. They meet Roy Wiseheart—a former Marine aviator haunted with guilt for deserting his squadron leader over the South Pacific—and Roy’s wife Clara, a vicious anti-Semite who is determined to make Weldon and Rosita’s life a nightmare. It will be the frontier justice upheld by Weldon’s grandfather, Texas lawman Hackberry Holland, and the legendary antics of Bonnie and Clyde that shape Weldon’s plans for saving his family from the evil forces that lurk in peacetime America and threaten to destroy them all.

The last time that I was a camper at Anderson Christian Camp, a Christian camp located twenty miles outside of Albuquerque, New Mexico for seventh -twelfth graders with learning disabilities, was the summer before my freshmen year of high school. This was due to the fact that I have spent the last two summers touring. This summer, however, is different. I am finally able to return to a place that I hold dear to my heart. On a different note, I am very excited! Even though I have been away for years, I have stayed in touch with all of the good friends that I made at camp! Finally, I will be reuniting with them once more for an awesome summer! I am also really excited about finally seeing Darren! After all, it has been a while since I have seen him!

Along the wintry landscape of a pristine and hopeful frontier, tragedy struck and strife followed. Joseph Campbell is a thirty-one year old, mixed-breed interpreter who finds himself helplessly intertwined in the real life actions, events, and people of a harrowing, but largely unknown struggle in the history of Minnesota. Joseph grew up along the expanding western frontier and he developed an intimacy for the people and places along with a deep seated knowledge of the varying cultures and languages. Following a massacre incited by Inkpaduta and the Wahpekute Indians in March of 1857, Joseph becomes torn between his duties as a U.S. Interpreter and his deep understanding, compassion, and kinship ties for his Dakota brethren. Joseph struggles desperately to uphold the rights of the Indians while at the same time seeking to capture and punish the guilty party. All the while, Joseph discovers a brooding conflict within himself that he longs to understand and finally overcome.
