Over the last 25 years it has become more and more evident that salivary gland pathology is by far the subject within head and neck pathology that causes most diagnostic challenges and problems for general pathologists. During courses the author has given, consultants and trainees alike have expressed the lack of a comprehensive, useful book on salivary gland pathology. Such a book needs to be broad and to illustrate almost every variant of all tumor entities. Another important feature to incorporate is the newly gained knowledge about genetics in salivary gland tumors, a knowledge that has emerged during the last 3-4 years only (and is growing continuously). A mapping of the immunophenotypes of salivary gland tumors is neither available today and will greatly benefit in routine diagnostic work.

Hardbound. The need to update advances in histopathology that relate to toxicologic pathology has resulted in the stimulus to produce this second edition of Rat Histopathology. Consequently, each chapter has been expanded and updated, with more information on defining common and uncommon lesions, as well as on common strains of rat. This second edition follows the philosophy of the first and reflects the interests of the authors in human pathology, a useful inclusion because of the increasing evidence over recent years that many pathological processes in the rodent are quite similar to those occurring in man. This book will be of great value to toxicologists and pathologists as well as to medical and pharmaceutical libraries.

This five-volume text is the most authoritative and comprehensive reference in otolaryngology today. It has been effectively updated to include the latest changes in the field. First, the pediatric material has been consolidated and expanded to fill its own volume. Second, each of the clinical chapters now includes algorithms for management of diseases. Also, the number of tables included in the book has been increased to cover the steps involved in evaluating a patient, management options, emergency situations, and complications. * World-renowned contributors provide the most current information available. * An increased number of line drawings of surgical procedures enhance the clarity of each procedure. * An increased number of tables highlight clear, organized points of information. NEW TO THIS EDITION: * A new separate volume on pediatric otolaryngology conveniently distinguishes between the diagnosis and treatment of children and adults. * The newly expanded ear and cranial base section now includes relevant adult information, such as dizziness among the geriatric population. * New chapters on aesthetic surgery in the face and nose bring the surgeon completely up to date. * New algorithms on the clinical management of diseases for each of the clinical chapters facilitate quick and simple referencing of a particular condition. * New summaries at the end of each chapter provide an excellent review.
