Hapgood utilizes ancient maps as concrete evidence of an advanced worldwide civilization existing many thousands of years before ancient Egypt. Hapgood concluded that these ancient mapmakers were in some ways much more advanced in mapmaking than any people prior to the 18th century. Hapgood believes that they mapped all the continents. This would mean that the Americas were mapped thousands of years before Columbus. Antarctica would have been mapped when its coasts were free of ice. Hapgood supposes that there is evidence that these people must have lived when the Ice Age had not yet ended in the Northern Hemisphere and when Alaska was still connected with Siberia by the Pleistocene, Ice Age 'land bridge'.

Long out-of-print, Cramp's 1966 classic book on flying saucer propulsion and suppressed technology is available again. Cramp wrote Space, Gravity and the Flying Saucer in 1954 and was Vice-President of the British UFO Research Association (BUFORA). This is a highly technical look at the UFO phenomenon by a trained scientist. Cramp first introduces the idea of anti-gravity and introduces us to the various theories of gravitation. He then examines the technology necessary to build a flying saucer and examines in great detail the technical aspects of such a craft. Cramp's book is a wealth of material and diagrams on flying saucers, anti-gravity, suppressed technology, G-fields and UFOs.

'The return of the serpents of wisdom' is an unprecedented work on ancient secret societies and lost civilizations. According to ancient records, the patriarchs and founders of the early civilizations in Egypt, India, China, Peru, Mesopotamia, Britain, and the Americas were colonized by the Serpents of Wisdom - spiritual masters associated with the original serpent - who arrived in these lands after abandoning their beloved homelands and crossing great seas. While bearing names denoting 'snake' or 'dragon' (such as Naga, Lung, Djedhi, Amaru, Quetzalcoatl, Adder, etc.), these Serpents of Wisdom directed the construction of dazzling civilizations where they and their descendants served as priest-kings and enlightened healers of mystery school traditions.

AMAZING TRUE FACTS From the Mayflower landing on Plymouth Rock to Apollo 11’ s touchdown on the moon, America has been nothing but the effing coolest country ever. This book is packed with fun facts, curious trivia and wacky revelations about the land of the free, including: • In the midst of the Civil War, 10,000 Confederate soldiers had a snowball fight—Tar Heels vs. Georgians. • Washington’s four dogs were named Drunkard, Taster, Tipler and Tipsy. • Unlike melodramatic Hollywood versions, the Gunfight at the O.K. Corral lasted just 30 seconds. • The incredibly unlucky son of Abe Lincoln witnessed the assassination deaths of three presidents. • The U.S. refused to pay a $400 littering fine for dropping the space station on Australia. • Ford pardoned not only Nixon but also Robert E. Lee 105 years after Lee’s death. • There is no evidence that Betsy Ross designed the American flag.

“The story of one of the most prolific, independent, and iconoclastic inventors of this century . . . fascinating.”--Scientific American Nikola Tesla (1856-1943), credited as the inspiration for radio, robots, and even radar, has been called the patron saint of modern electricity. Based on original material and previously unavailable documents, this acclaimed book is the definitive biography of the man considered by many to be the founding father of modern electrical technology. Among Tesla’s creations were the channeling of alternating current, fluorescent and neon lighting, wireless telegraphy, and the giant turbines that harnessed the power of Niagara Falls. This essential biography is illustrated with sixteen pages of photographs, including the July 20, 1931, Time magazine cover for an issue celebrating the inventor’s career. “A deep and comprehensive biography of a great engineer of early electrical science--likely to become the definitive biography. Highly recommended.”--American Association for the Advancement of Science “Seifer's vivid, revelatory, exhaustively researched biography rescues pioneer inventor Nikola Tesla from cult status and restores him to his rightful place as a principal architect of the modern age.” --Publishers Weekly Starred Review “[Wizard] brings the many complex facets of [Tesla's] personal and technical life together in to a cohesive whole....I highly recommend this biography of a great technologist.” --A.A. Mullin, U.S. Army Space and Strategic Defense Command, COMPUTING REVIEWS “[Along with A Beautiful Mind] one of the five best biographies written on the brilliantly disturbed.”--WALL STREET JOURNAL “Wizard is a compelling tale presenting a teeming, vivid world of science, technology, culture and human lives.”--NEW SCIENTIST “Marc Seifer is an excellent writer and scholar, who has produced a wonderfully readable and illuminating biography of one of the most intriguing men of this century...mak[ing] us understand not only the man, but also the times in which he lived....[A] masterpiece.”--NELSON DEMILLE “The author presents much new material...[and] bases his book on a large number of archival and primary sources....Underneath the layers of hero worship, the core of Seifer's book is a serious piece of scholarship.” --Ronald Kline, SCIENTIFIC AMERICAN “Seifer has done a remarkable job going through all the Tesla manuscripts...ferret[ing] out hundreds of newspaper and magazine articles in which he traces out Tesla's public image [and] offers a reasonable reconstruction of Tesla's emotional world...Seifer has significantly advanced our understanding of Tesla.”--Bernard Carlson, author of Tesla: Inventor of the Electrical Age, for ISIS “It is my opinion that Dr. Seifer leads the world as the most authoritative of all the Tesla researchers.”--J.W. McGINNIS, President, International Tesla Society “Far and away the best job among Tesla biographies.”--Jeffrey D. Kooistra, INFINITE ENERGY “Wizard is...utterly absorbing with chapters charting all stages of Tesla's life...Seifer treats his prodigious subject with sympathy and realism.”--NEXUS “Wizard...presents a much more accurate...picture of Tesla.... [It] is thorough, informative, entertaining and a valuable addition to electrotechnological history, past and future.”--ELECTRONIC ENGINEERING TIMES “In modern times, Tesla may be enjoying a comeback thanks to books like Wizard.”--THE NEW YORK TIMES

HE TURNED NIGHT into day with the invention of alternating current which is still the standard today; he was the father of over one hundred patents, his genius was overshadowed by malefic individuals who called him a quintessential mad scientist; he was ripped off by Thomas Edison for fifty thousand dollars, and the FBI had a large dossier of him which later disappeared. In 1943 he was found dead.

Engineers have always had a huge influence on the way we live and how our world looks. They create lasting solutions to the biggest challenges, and construct iconic and incredible buildings that have literally stood the test of time. Engineers tells their story, from the men who built the Great Pyramid in Egypt to the pioneers of space travel. Often many different minds worked together or built on the work of previous generations to achieve a working version of a great idea: Engineers explores this progression of ideas, from initial concept to prototype and finished design. The great achievements of engineers go hand in hand with the world's greatest structures, such as aqueducts, monuments, bridges, and dams. These works are shown in detail and highlighted with beautiful illustrations, photographs, and technical drawings.

The Mortal Jigsaw puzzle follows the struggles of a heroic urban vice principal, as he attempts to control a large high school teetering on the verge of chaos. During the course of an infamous day known as Fat Lip Friday, the ghetto principal tries valiantly to keep control of his school in the midst of a full blown gang war. Immersed in an environment replete with urban music, violence, verbiage, and dress, the reader is bombarded with shocking images of life in the modern hood. As the visceral educational conflagration unfolds, the protagonist, Jose Perez, unexpectedly catches glimpses of a diabolical conspiracy of which street gangs are just a small part. Thanks to his keen senses, Mr. Perez slowly collects the pieces to a profoundly disturbing global puzzle comprised of codes, lyrics, art, and symbols of Egyptian, Masonic, and satanic origin. While attempting to place the gratuitous carnage and depravity of the inner city into perspective, Mr. Perez accidentally stumbles upon an interdisciplinary mind control plan which draws upon religion, politics, economics, psychology, marketing, history, and the occult. Alarmed by his findings, Mr. Perez warns his community of their pending doom, only to be hunted down by the very debt cattle whom he tries to save from oblivion. In the end, both his community and his nation are condemned to fall under this nefarious plot, as this educators quixotic mission abruptly ends with an ominous knock on his front door.

Tin cans were first produced in London in 1813. But they had to be opened with a hammer and chisel, because the can opener wasn't invented until 1855! Check out other amazing engineering innovations, such as a popular soft drink originally sold as a "brain tonic," an 18th-century battery called a voltaic pile, and a design from 1596 for the first flushing toilet. Fact-packed text and fun illustrations reveal clever discoveries that changed the world—and weird ideas that didn't (like Nikola Tesla's earthquake machine or Thomas Edison's giant singing dolls). Learn how wonders of engineering have helped us improve our lives—from growing food to powering machinery.
