There are tens of thousands of self-help books on psychology and human relationships; however, there are very few that integrate the topics of the soul and spirit into the picture. Most books on this subject focus on personality-level self-actualization. The new wave in the field of psychology is transpersonal or soul psychology, which will lead to monadic psychology for the more advanced students of the path. The entire understanding of psychology is completely changed when the soul is properly integrated. It has been said that personality-level self-actualization brings happiness, soul-level self-actualization brings joy, and monadic- and spiritual-level self-actualization bring bliss.

Greetings. I’m Vywamus. I’m a soul psychologist. In this series of lectures, we will explore the meaning of soul psychology and how it relates to modern psychology. More importantly, we will show how soul psychology as a practice is becoming more popular and is an especially useful technique for starseeds and others who are awakening to the fact that there is reincarnation and that there are soul lessons that must be learned. The basic essence of soul psychology rests with the idea that the soul is evolving and that part of this evolution is occurring through incarnations in the third dimension. Now, to even speak about the soul evolving is perhaps a controversial subject because we know that the soul is eternal. We know that the soul has been in existence for infinity, and we know that the soul is perfect. So why would the soul have to evolve? The answer to this question is complex, and we may not be able to totally answer it using third-dimensional terminology. But it is an important question to answer, because the nature of soul evolution is inherently connected to your experiences in the third dimension. The soul, in completing its evolutionary journey, needs these experiences in the third dimension, and it needs to complete the lessons here. — through David K. The words of Sai Baba, "God equals man minus ego," are echoed by Dr. Joshua David Stone in his seminal work, Soul Psychology. A veteran transpersonal psychologist and family counselor, Dr. Stone teaches us how our entire understanding of ourselves and others is completely changed when we integrate our soul into the way we live our lives. Based on eighteen years of Dr. Stone's practice, this book is not a psychological approach to spirituality. It is rather a spiritual approach to the psychology of everyday living. At the heart of Soul Psychology is emotional healing through the dismantling of the "negative ego," a psychological cancer that prevents us from acting in accordance with our soul's true nature and purpose. This negative energy drives us to find our security outside of ourselves; whereas the only true security is one that is grounded in having a right relationship with self and a right relationship with the Divine. To guide us onto this path of spiritual ascension, Soul Psychology offers a stimulating new viewpoint that expands the boundaries of traditional spiritual practice, providing a wealth of accessible and powerful meditations and exercises, including - The six-step process for healing and spiritualizing emotions - The spiritual science of the seven rays and the twenty-two chakras - Methods for clearing negative psychic energies that inhibit soul growth - The one hundred most common pitfalls and traps on the spiritual path From the Trade Paperback edition.

SOUL PSYCHOLOGY unfolds the concepts of the soul and the mind, in body and out, during your journey through the Human Kingdom. It shows how your partnership brought you to this lifetime and how you can use it to heal your life. In the same way that Freud pioneered psychology, the study of the human mind, the Higher Selves' multilayered information offers soul psychology, the study of the human soul. What do you do when you've reache a desperate place where drastic measures loom in front of you? Many would look outside themselves for answers. This book explores the inward dimension of your soul and opens a powerful realm of help. The soul is a power player and partner to the mind of this life, a partner that seems unreachable since we cannot phone to ask questions. It does communicate but because we are unaware, we unwittingly ignore what it is telling us. Manifesting problems in life is how our soul "talks." In between lives our soul decides what areas of dysfunction we want to heal and balance. Because we don't remember the plan once born, when problems occur we feel helpless and afraid. Instead, we can view our problems as windows to awareness indicating our soul's purpose and direction. This process is how the humanities evolve, one step, one life, one experience at a time. Together the Soul and the Mind can accomplish much. Alone each operates with one hand tied behind the back. When you listen to what your soul is telling you, you have the keys to resolve your difficulties. www.higherselfvoice.com

The Sciences of the Soul is the first attempt to explain the development of the disciplinary conception of psychology from its appearance in the late sixteenth century to its redefinition at the end of the seventeenth and its emergence as an institutionalized field in the eighteenth. Fernando Vidal traces this development through university courses and textbooks, encyclopedias, and nonacademic books, as well as through various histories of psychology. Vidal reveals that psychology existed before the eighteenth century essentially as a “physics of the soul,” and it belonged as much to natural philosophy as to Christian anthropology. It remained so until the eighteenth century, when the “science of the soul” became the “science of the mind.” Vidal demonstrates that this Enlightenment refashioning took place within a Christian framework, and he explores how the preservation of the Christian idea of the soul was essential to the development of the science. Not only were most psychologists convinced that an empirical science of the soul was compatible with Christian faith; their perception that psychology preserved the soul also helped to elevate its rank as an empirical science. Broad-ranging and impeccably researched, this book will be of wide importance in the history and philosophy of psychology, the history of the human sciences more generally, and in the social and intellectual history of eighteenth-century Europe.

Heart, Self, and Soul is the first book by a Western psychologist to explore the rich spiritual tradition of Sufism as a path for personal growth. Western psychotherapy aims largely to help us eliminate neurotic traits formed in childhood and adapt to society. In contrast, the Sufi goal is ultimately spiritual: Yes, we need to transform our negativity and be effective in the world; but beyond that, we need to reach a state of harmony with the Divine. Full of stories, poetry, meditations, journaling exercises, and colorful everyday examples, this book will open the heart, nourish the self, and quicken the soul.
