It was a wonderful day. Little three-year-old Rachelle Tiny was in a good mood. She was pushing her brand new baby in its brand new stroller, up and down the passageways inside the walls of the big people's house. And all the while she was singing a happy song. Papa Tiny had made the stroller out of a half a walnut shell, with wheels made of four matching buttons. The teeny Tiny baby doll that fit in it was no more than half an inch tall from the top of its curly yarn head to the bottom of its teeny Tiny feet. Mama Tiny had made the doll for her from a few scraps of leftover material and a piece of yarn. Rachelle thought the whole thing was magnificent! And to make the whole effect even better, Rachelle was also wearing her dress up things. She had on a necklace made of tiny beads. They came down to a point on which was hung a gold foil star from a discarded Christmas decoration. In the very center was a piece of silver glitter that sparkled and shone like a diamond. The glitter necklace, as she called it, matched the other tiny pieces of gold foil with glitter that sparkled on her ears. All in all, Rachelle thought the effect was stunning. In fact, Rachelle was thinking so much about how pretty she looked that she wasn't paying attention to where she was going. The next thing you know, Rachelle looked around her and realized that she was lost! Read about Rachelle’s adventure, and what happens when she meets up with one of the big people’s cats. The Tinys are a family of very small people that live inside the walls of a big person’s apartment. In many ways Tinys are like littles, but they don’t have tails like littles do. There are four children in the Tiny family. Gabrielle (or Brie as she is better known) is the oldest. Then comes Aaron, the only boy. After Aaron are the twins, Danielle and Rachelle. They all live with their mother and father. Living nearby are their grandmother and their Aunti Karen, who they spend a lot of time with. The Tinys all live in the walls of an apartment that belongs to the Martin family. In the Martin Family there are the parents, June and Jerry, and their only child, Peter. They also have three cats! As you may know, cats love to chase things that are smaller than they are, and tinys are just the right size for a cat to chase. The cats will pounce on the tinys and bat them around. They may not mean to hurt the tinys, but they do. That’s why tinys don’t like cats. The Tinys work hard at making things work. They like to recycle things that the big people throw away. They also like parties, and good times, and spending time together. In many ways, Tinys are just like you and me, only smaller. Read about the adventures of the Tinies in this series. Ages 7 to 12. Reading level: 4.3 3029 Words

I was at my wit's end. I'd had enough of this job, this life, and my relationship had broken up. Should I eat chocolate, or go to India, or fall in love? Then I had a revelation: Why not do all three, in that order? And so it was that I embarked on a journey that was segmented into three parts and was then made into a major motion picture. Later, I woke up on an airplane with a hole in my face and a really bad hangover. I was ushered brusquely off the plane by my parents who took me to a rehab where I tested positive for coke, classic coke, special k (the drug), Special K (the cereal), mushrooms, pepperoni, and Restless Leg Syndrome. It was there that I first began painting with my feet. But rewind...the year was 1914. I was just a young German soldier serving in the trenches while simultaneously trying to destroy an evil ring with some help from an elf, a troll, and a giant sorcerer, all while cooking every recipe out of a Julia Child cookbook. What I'm trying to say is that there was a secret code hidden in a painting and I was looking for it with this girl who had a tattoo of a dragon! Let me clarify, it was the 1930s and a bunch of us were migrating out of Oklahoma, and I was this teenage wizard/CIA operative, okay? And, um then I floated off into the meta-verse as a ball of invisible energy that had no outer edge... Ugh, okay. None of this is true. I'm just kind of a normal guy from New Jersey who moved to New York, got into comedy, wrote this book about trying to write this book, and then moved to Alaska, became the mayor of a small town, spent $30,000 on underwear, and now I'm going to rule the world!!!

Fraser's work helps increase readers' understanding of cat behaviour - why they behave as they do, for what purpose and why. The focus is on identifying normal behaviour from the cat's perspect.

"I came into the world like everything else that is born, willy-nilly." So the wise old housecat Foudini begins the delightful story of his life. It is the tale of his orphaned kittenhood; of how he was rescued, cowering and spitting and hissing, from a damp city basement and lured into the lives of the couple he came to call Warm and Pest ("All cats like to make up strange names for things" ). It is the story of how Warm and Pest became "his people" ("Human beings must be excellent mousers; they have such patience" ); of how he learned to tolerate and then to love "his" dog, Sam; and of his adventures at Cold House in the city and Mouse House in the country (he prefers Mouse House, for obvious reasons). With feline equanimity, he tells how he was saved from a racing, swollen river; of how he lost the most unlikely and dearest friend he had; and of how he gained a cat family of his own. And he regales us with news of the ghost cats who visit him in his dreams--the cats of Cleopatra and Freud among them--bringing him their ancient cat wisdom, which Foudini tries, none too successfully at first, to impart to Grace, the sleek and beautiful gray country cat new to the household. As Foudini sees it, Grace is desperately in need of his guidance, but being young and willful, she has other things on her mind . . . Yet even Grace comes to understand that Foudini M. Cat is well worth listening to. Warm and witty--and possessed of a surprisingly sophisticated narrative manner--Foudini is a cat with truly irrepressible, and irresistible, feline flair. From the Hardcover edition.
